First some background...
Protocol IT was established in 2007 to develop IT solutions, and quickly realised that the rapid expansion of the internet would lead to the need for applications to run across the internet instead of traditional desktop solutions.
We consist of a number of software engineers with different skillsets, based at various locations across the UK. The head office is based at the Innovations Centre near to Loughborough University, Leicestershire in the UK.
Our four business principles are:
- Acting with integrity in our business dealings.
- Listening to clients to fully understand their needs
- Providing solutions to ensure technology assists the business needs
- Avoiding the use of jargon - explaining in ways which our clients can understand
The company Director, Paul Gadd was originally approached by a Family Mediator to see whether a case management system was available to suit their requirements. After researching the market it was clear that an internet solution was required - and so, at the beginning of January 2010 the journey of research and development began.

After development of Progress Mediation, we were approached by several different mediation provides to develop a solution that would support different types of mediation. This has led to the creation of Progress Mediation 4 All, which currently supports 6 types of mediation.
