We have now updated all the reports and template access to be compatible with all main stream browsers, including Microsoft Edge, Chrome and Safari. One of the benefits of using Internet Explorer, has been the ability to automatically open documents dynamically created by Progress Mediation in Word. This functionality is no longer possible, and once a template has been used to create a client document, you will need to click on the link to download to your computer and open. We will continue to support Internet Explorer until the end of 2021. This still requires three settings to be modified to enable Java scripting and prevent popups being blocked.

Yes. To ensure our mediation services comply with new data protection regulations, we’re in the process of developing a number of features within Progress Mediation. We’ve already developed a number of features including: * tracking client consent for information to be stored * Client report showing information stored * Partner report showing information stored * Means of easily anomolising client / partner data to keep statistical information.   As we near the deadline the new features will automatically go live on the system without mediators or administrators needing to download and install updates. The user-guides will be available online showing the new features and how to use them from the start of May in time for ‘GDPR day’.

All your information is in a central location which is accessible from anywhere with an internet connection.

If you are concerned about security issues, we can install a stand-alone system on your premises which is not accessible across the internet. However we believe that the internet is the way forward for storage and accessibility. We take every precaution to ensure that your data is secure and safe.

We backup the data on our servers on a nightly basis then replicate any changes to a backup server to ensure that we can get you up and running as soon as possible in the case of an emergency. We also provide you with the means of manually backing up your data if you wish to keep your own copy onsite.

Yes! You can generate any custom letter and we will then translate this into ‘xml’ format and upload onto the website for you to access. You will then be able to access this template from any of your cases.

You can view all of the case information on an Apple Mac using Safari. We have now incorporated functionality to enable reports to be accessed via links, once reports have been generated. These do not automatically open, but need to be opened by the link.

When document templates are used to generate letters, they are automatically opened in Word on the Microsoft Windows OS’s, with special icon links provided for Apple Mac’s and other devices.

We can migrate a large amount of case information stored in other database systems if it can be exported to CSV or Excel files. This can include client names/addresses, key dates, case information. Depending on the format of case activities, some of this can also be migrated.

We’ve tested Progress Mediation on Internet Explorer 11, running on Windows 8.1. You will just need to follow our standard Internet Explorer configuration sheet to trust our secure site, then enable Javascripting, pop-ups and select compatibility mode.
